At New London Community Recreation Center, we appreciate our members, staff, and supporters who have helped shape our center into what it is today. Our goal is to uplift and connect the community because we believe in the importance of bringing people together. Recently, we had the opportunity to attend a special event at the Capitol.
A Visit to the State Capitol
On Monday, April 27, members of our sales team took part in the first Southeastern Connecticut Day at the Capitol. We are grateful to State Representative Anthony Nolan for inviting us to this great event. Along with the New London Community Recreation Center, some of our corporate partners, including Mitchell College and General Dynamics Electric Boat, also attended.
The Heart of the Community
By attending this meaningful event, we witnessed how the community can come together to support one another. Several businesses, including Muddy Waters, Water Street Waffle Co., Safe Futures, and the New London Coast Guard Museum, were there to ensure our center was well represented. Local restaurants even provided food and drinks to highlight the flavors of New London as well. Our team met with state representatives, senators, lobbyists, and members of the public as we explored the Capitol building.
Showcasing what Southeastern Connecticut has to offer was a fantastic experience. It was also exciting for us to highlight the benefits of being part of the New London community.
